Important Note About Unpublished Inventions
FigDraft is intended for invention-related materials, which may be sensitive before a patent filing or public disclosure. During private beta, you should submit non-confidential or low-risk examples until the secure uploader, production security controls, and final privacy terms are live.
Our product policy is not to publish, sell, or use your uploaded invention materials as public examples without your permission.
Purposes of Processing
- Provide beta access and respond to requests
- Process uploaded sketches and generate draft figure previews
- Enable editing, reference numbering, export, and project management
- Improve product quality, reliability, and user experience
- Prevent abuse, secure accounts, and maintain service logs
- Process payments, invoices, and legal accounting obligations if applicable
- Communicate about beta updates, product changes, and support
Legal Bases for Processing
- Contract performance: to provide requested beta access, previews, exports, and support.
- Legitimate interest: to improve the service, prevent abuse, secure the platform, and understand product usage.
- Legal obligation: for accounting, tax, fraud prevention, and compliance duties.
- Consent: for optional communications or optional product research where consent is required.
AI Processing
FigDraft may use AI services to assist with sketch interpretation, labeling, naming, cleanup guidance, or drafting suggestions. AI is not intended to be the final source of critical geometry. Final geometry should remain inspectable and editable through deterministic or user-controlled workflows.
We do not sell your uploaded sketches or invention materials. Where external AI providers are used, we aim to configure processing so customer content is not used to train public models, where such controls are available.
Retention
Beta request emails: up to 3 years after last contact.
Project files and generated figures: while your account or beta project remains active, then deleted or anonymized within a reasonable period after deletion request.
Billing records: up to 10 years where required by law.
Security and technical logs: generally up to 12 months, unless longer retention is required for security or legal reasons.
Sub-processors and Data Sharing
We may use trusted providers to operate FigDraft, including:
- Hostinger International Ltd: hosting infrastructure.
- OpenAI or similar AI providers: AI-assisted processing and drafting suggestions, where enabled.
- Stripe or similar payment providers: payment processing, if paid exports or subscriptions are enabled.
- Email and support providers: beta access requests, support, and user communications.
- Competent authorities: where disclosure is legally required.
We do not sell personal data. We do not publish user sketches or generated figures as examples without permission.
International Transfers
Some providers may process data outside the European Union, including in the United States. Where required, transfers are protected by appropriate legal mechanisms such as Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.
Security
- HTTPS/TLS encryption for data in transit
- Restricted administrative access
- Access controls and operational security monitoring
- Backups and infrastructure protections appropriate to the beta stage
- Deletion workflows for project materials where technically available
No online service can guarantee absolute security. You should avoid sending highly confidential invention materials until production security controls are in place and you are comfortable with the applicable terms.
Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to:
- Access your personal data
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion of personal data or project files
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Request data portability
